Les poilus 2026 - Lou Pascal Tremblay

Flying Sugar Gliders Steal Lou-Pascal Tremblay’s Heart

Some television moments are simply magical. That is exactly what happened during a recent segment featuring Joanie Asselin alongside actor Lou-Pascal Tremblay, a true animal lover.

For the occasion, Joanie brought Lou-Pascal’s favorite animals: flying sugar gliders. From the moment they arrived on set, there was an instant connection between the actor and Educazoo’s 2 little stars: Nadia and Harry.

The segment was filled with sweetness, discoveries… and truly hilarious moments.

Nadia and Harry Steal the Spotlight

Flying phalangers, also known as “sugar gliders,” are small nocturnal mammals native to Australia and New Guinea. With their large black eyes, tiny round ears, and ability to glide from place to place, they immediately capture attention.

But behind their adorable appearance is an extremely sensitive animal that requires highly specialized care.

During the segment, Joanie took the time to explain to viewers that sugar gliders are not easy animals to keep at home. Their diet, social needs, nocturnal rhythm, and environment require extensive knowledge and attention.

At Educazoo, the goal is always the same: helping people discover animals while sharing accurate and responsible information about their reality.

3 Years of Training Before Television

Bringing flying sugar gliders onto a television set does not happen overnight.

Joanie explained that she worked with Nadia and Harry for nearly 3 years to gradually acclimate them to handling, studio lights, and the unique environment of television productions.

Animal well-being always remains the top priority at Educazoo. Every species and every individual animal has its own personality, limits, and pace of adaptation.

This long preparation process allowed Nadia and Harry to experience this opportunity safely and with full respect for their natural needs

Mealworms… and a Very Special Hiding Spot!

One of the funniest moments of the segment happened when the sugar gliders started eating mealworms, one of their favorite foods.

Curious and playful, Nadia and Harry quickly charmed everyone on set with their tiny agile hands and expressive eyes.

But the funniest moment came when they decided to hide inside Lou-Pascal Tremblay’s pockets.

Because sugar gliders are nocturnal animals, they naturally look for dark and comfortable places to sleep during the day. The actor’s pockets seemed like the perfect hiding place!

The scene caused lots of laughter and perfectly showcased the lovable personalities of these little mammals.

A Dream Come True

Beyond the scientific discoveries, the segment also offered a deeply human moment.

It was obvious that Lou-Pascal Tremblay was living out a real dream by finally meeting his favorite animals. His spontaneous reaction and sense of wonder reminded everyone just how powerful animals can be in creating unique connections with humans.

For more than 25 years, the Educazoo team has worked to bring people closer to biodiversity through educational, ethical, and memorable animal encounters.

And with Nadia and Harry… mission accomplished.
