Les Petits Tannants Team Takes Over the sanctuary !
We had the great pleasure of welcoming the Les Petits Tannants team to the Educazoo sanctuary in Terrebonne for the filming of one of the show’s games!
The challenge invited children to gently pick up corn snakes and return them to their terrarium after they had “escaped.” Parents had to guess whether their child would accept the challenge—or not!
Why the corn snake? Because it’s an ideal choice for children aged 4 to 6. Small in size, gentle, calm, and not too quick, it offers a safe and reassuring first experience. It’s also the species we prioritize during our educational programs for preschool-aged groups, whether at the sanctuary or during our outreach activities.
On set, everything was carefully supervised: Stéphane Bellavance guided the children on camera, while behind the scenes, Éducazoo’s biologists ensured the animals’ well-being and everyone’s safety. Every gesture was thoughtful, and every interaction respectful.
This filming perfectly reflects our mission: to demystify animals that are often misunderstood, to share knowledge in a fun way, and to show that with proper supervision, human–animal interactions can be educational, safe, and deeply enriching.
